Human Phy

practical is not as boring as I expected..in fact, I can't wait for the next practical session! There's a couple of heavy weightage assignments which I'll be teaming with Johnathern..(hmm what a peculiar spelling for a name!! haha) AND Dr. Lina Lim, the module coordinator, is the hottest female prof I've ever met..and the guys were like "eh chio bu le..!" And she's super friendly, and seems very approachable. She got some UROPS project under her..hmm maybe I should consider..

I ran like I never ran before today, feeling the urge to run..to get some things off my mind, and ran all the way to KR to meet Ren and Liang for dinner. Shiok, feel 2 kg lighter..as if =)

Just came back from Fong Seng supper with the guys..oh man, I feel so bloated right now..filled up my tummy with nasi lemak kampung and milo peng =S. There goes my fat burnt out today... Tomorrow is FREE DAY, no 6hrs immuno lab..YEA!! Meeting Wanting to re-sign my phone plan, and get a spanking new phone, and watch Jay Chou's movie with Ren. So broke $$$ by tomorrow, yet still feel so blessed...=)

When the sun shines, we'll shine together

I can't help it, I just need to procrastinate right now..Second week of school and my readings started to pile up..phew. Understanding the Universe seems more like astronomy than astrology..oh no.. -__-" and forum participation counts at 5%. What to crap there lehh..?

It is not going to be an easy journey for this semester, especially now in my third year, competing with my fellow third years who all definitely has the "pia" spirit in em..BUT, I guess I'm really really really blessed, because I not going to walk alone this semester..I got Ren as my pillar of support. And he will always have mine. =) Let's chiong together!! And what CCA to join so that I'll have enuogh points to stay in the final year? Hmmm..rotaract, perhaps?

Listening to Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music" makes me wanna hit the dance floor.."Ma ma se ma ma ma ma coo sa..!" Eee feel like sipping my Malibu Sunrise...sigh~~~

Ela ela ela eh eh

I love my new bedroom (block 23) window view...a vast horizon of big blue sky and white puffy clouds..it's esp gorgeous when dusk sets in..I always try to guess the name of the cloud after taking Atmospheric and Env..haha. And I always had the feeling that God must be looking down at me right now under the vast bluish horizon. -__- There are times when the smoked from the BBQ pit below will ascend up to my window..and uummm chicken and sausages aroma will fill in...never fails to make me hungry!!

Haiz..so bored. Today Understanding the Universe lecture is not as exciting as I expected. Stupid noisy freshies, kept on talking and cursing in front of me, and behind me..*slap slap*. No respect for the poor lecturer, even tough he's boring la.. Dan nearly whack their faces...Immuno lecturer kept on spitting into the microphone, damn irritating and his notes are hmmm like no link? Grrrr...

Monday bluess..Tuesday even blueeee

The first day of sch, Human Physiology lecture.. so far, so good. At least the lecturer is bold enough to make some lame jokes..Met Liang and Vanessa at the lt entrance, and Vanessa asked bout Liren..I wonder WHO spread the news..must be Liang Liang la!! Hmm, Sci canteen somehow don't look the same to me anymore...after 1 and half months of dining at buffet-styled cafeteria at Rieber, queuing up for food in a humid environment like Sci canteen makes me wanna go back to Rieber Hall all over again..! I know I shouldn't complain, but I cannot help to compare maa..Well, at least Sci got Megabites..but eeee Western food again..I had swore off any western food for a month after LA trip, but heck, ate a big bowl of Bologna's spaghetti at Megabites.. quite yummy..

Second day of sch did not start off with very much enthusiasm.. PC1322 intro lecture is boring, and Daniel kept talking and ponting and some hot freshies.. oh man I feel so old now being in third year, in addition taking the same mod with the first year students...Well, at least a whole bunch of my gang from different faculty are taking the same PC1322 module, and the first time as well =)

And my fat Renren is coming back tomorrow!!! Yeahh *filled with happiness* after so many SMS and late night phone calls with him from Ipoh, he is finally coming back.. and coming back with my favourite Ipoh sweet biscuits!! Yum yum =) I wonder how the third Kong will react if he knows about me and Ren............

Home sweet home

Currently leading a pretty mundane lifestyle back at home..wakeup then go online, exercise a bit, eat and eat (roti canai, teh tarik, nasi lemak, char siew fan, char kuey tiaw,etc etc!), sleep and read. Boring..well, actually I can't wait for the new semester to start. New modules, new Sci canteen, new clothes, new haircut, and of cuz new challenges ahead.

Decided to take 4 modules this coming semester, so life would be less hectic for me..muahahaha and so that I can concentrate more on the 4 modules..which I heard from many seniors that Immunology and Fund. Pharmacology are ultimate combo killer subjects. -_-:: WTH, I'll just give my best shot then! And I'll be doing Human Physiology and Understanding the Universe..yay SHOULD be quite interesting =)

I will remember you...

I vividly remember the day I bid farewell to my friends in PGP and my parents at Changi Airport on June 18th. Later, the "Famous Five" of us met up at the boarding counter to get our pass, anticipating our journey and our new life in Los Angeles.

I remember the day when we need to transfer a plane in Bangkok to LA, we were running like "The Amazing Race" to the isolated terminal, scared that we will miss our plane. Haha..

I remember my first night view of LA which is from the plane above.. I was mesmerized. I remember my first encounter with Aunt Lai in LAX, who greeted us happily and has been a wonderful host for us. And her cat, as well, who big blue-green eyes would fiercely stared back at us..

I remember the bus journey to Las Vegas with YinFong. I remember the heat that made my skin burnt and my nose bleed. And Yin Fong's sis and bro-in-law brought us around Las Vegas, shopping, Hoover Dam and Lake Mead..I could not thank them for more. I remember betting my first jackpot game at Luxor Casino and eventually won $8 bucks..haha. That was fun!

I remember my first sight of San Francisco when I walked up the stairs from Bart Station. I thought I was in New York. I remember the freezing moments at Fisherman Whraft, where Liren bought me knitted gloves to keep my hand warm. I remember Golden Gate, the Alcatraz view and the ever so beautiful San Fran Bay. What a picturesque view!

I remember of cuz, Disneyland, the land where "Dreams do come true". The best thing about Disney? The amazing fireworks above Disneyland Castle. I remember Universal Studios rides (Jurassic Park ride is awesome!!) and the studio tour. I remember being ON the set of Wisteria Lane in Desperate Housewives.

I remember taking the long bus ride to Home Deport just to watch David Beckham's LA Galaxy. I remember the super-duper fun Magic Mountain trip. It was one hell of rides for us!! I remember downtown LA, Santa Monica and Venice, Hollywood screaming at Daniel Radcliff, little Tokyo of cuz, Jersey Boys amazing performance.

And of cuz, I remember UCLA the most. My roomate Anne from Denmark. Rieber 6 South. The dining halls, my lecture halls, my lecturer (Prof Robinson and Prof Lew) and the moments I had with my friends and Liren. I will remember all of them.

On my way to LAX in Aunt Yen's car, I bid farwell to the beautiful Los Angeles sky. Got a bit teary here. I will definitely miss LA. And I will definitely be back in the future.

What an amazing 7 weeks journey.

Seriously, this is the best steak I have ever tasted in my entire life. One should try to visit Lawry's "The Prime Ribs" at least once in their lifetime. Singapore has one of its branch at Paragon. I will be back for more....yum yum -___-
