I am sitting here in my comfort zone which I have been familiarized with for the past 7 years, typing right in front of my flat Samsung desktop. My study room has finally been cleared from the mess of kitchen drawers, can foods, form6 text book and notes, and LOL the refrigerator! Apparently, my parents salvage almost everything from the kitchen into the 1st floor study room in the midst of flood scare and warning signals last month. And then my dad thought, Oh what the heck it's CNY and we practically got nothing downstairs and we ended up moving every necessities down including the big tv and sofa!! yay =)
Crossing the border in a couple of hours time, feeling reluctant as there are many things to settle there; can't really slack but baby is waiting and that really matters. *grin* And I have not done any CNY shopping yet, even though I went for tour in Tebrau City with parents... the retail prices in Tebrau City are incredibly expensive. Liren bought the same polo t from Vivo's esprit for S$50+ for TWO and Tebrau's esprit is selling at RM130 per piece. And the jeans from Guess is selling at cut throat price. I can get 1/2 the price at Suntec City-they have sale most of the time. Sigh no wonder they say Singapore is a shopping heaven. =) Well, I am cutting down my spending this year...hehe.

to the ever handsome ever charming knight ever sexiest Hollywood actor ever talented Heath Ledger. This is so sad. Honestly, he's superb in Brokeback Mountain..At first I was kinda surprise when I read the headline "Autopsy on Heath Ledger..." Why would anyone want to do an autopsy on Heath Ledger??? Then I click on it, to reveal the shocking news. =(
Apparently, he's thought to be on Zolpidem overdose. Sounds familiar so I check my Drugs notes ooo...Zolpidem enhances the inhibitory effect of GABA receptor, relaxes the CNS and aids in treating insomnia. But hor... I also found out some of the side effects claimed by patients include sleep walking..duh..they woke up in the morning with paint on their face, fell from balconies and gained weight because they ate up the fridge store in the middle of the night!! Seriously.....this is bizzare.
Sigh. I'm gonna miss his acting. And especially his gaze....in every single movie he acted.

By the way, it's kind of embarrassing to say this, but I seriously enjoy my Infectious Diseases lecture today. And last week one as well. We had this visiting young good-looking Prof from DSO dealing with bioterrorism..duh..as if any terrorist wanna put anthrax spores into all the MPs envelope haha..Kind of remind me of UCLA! So many memories there; in bioterrorism class with no air-con or fan but we still enjoy the cool summer breeze, Liren and Felix dozing off on their chairs, YinFong munching on her pack sandwich, Phoebe busy copying, etc etc..
Well in lec today, we didn't cover on bioterrorism but more on virology. And virology is not all about lab/pateints/doctors. It's pretty much related to social issues like poverty in developing countries where the number of cases such as HIV increases (it will never decrease until we get a vaccine out) each year. He discuss a lot more on how political agenda in the 1st world can affect these 3rd world countries, how the rich gets richer and the poorer get poorer, the cost of antiviral drugs etc..at the end of the lecture, he showed a simple picture of graveyard with 2 little children crying, hugging each other. They are known as AIDS orphan. And this has already reinforce my resolution.
Biotech lab was partly fun today. We injected plasmids with GFP reporter gene into those cute tiny witty Zebra fish. It doesn't look like it has zebra strips on it..not the black and white, but grey-blue horizontal strips. I nearly freak out when my fish started jumping around at the point of injection. Poor fishy. Not enough sedation. Hope we can see the colours coming out nicely ba..
This is gonna be a kick-ass movie!! HiaKK! Feed my chocho on the right tab! Or she'll gonna hiak hiak you also!! hehe

Been pouring since afternoon, finally stopped. Whenever it rains back home, we all will get the flood jitters ~~ like omg, it's going to flood again... sigh~~ don't want go through the evacuation-living on canned food-house cleaning process again!!!
Back to Singapore tomorrow. So soon for my 6th semester in NUS. Seriously, the best thing about NUS is it's SEP/summer programme where you can study elsewhere apart from NUS.. duh..=__= because I really can't find any wonderful memories related with the school itself other than meeting new wonderful friends here. Well, can't blame it because people from different part of the world has different mentality...and the rigorous "boring" academic scene surrounded by concrete walls (sometimes with dreadful weather) and being "locked up" in PGP-Potential Geek Prison made me wanna leave NUS asap...

Weekend at home. Movie. Dramas. Bidding. Zzzzzz. Was browsing through my pics in Vegas.. oh how I miss it there. "Yen fang yen fang pai zhao!!!~~" So fun back then. I am so determine to save up and economize my bank account for a Summer 2009 backpack graduation trip. Muahahaha.

anniversary..wow time passes really fast! Well, sort of celebrate it with a posh Italian fusion dinner at Bukonero minus the red wine. Bukonero is a tiny restaurant, only 6 tables were available, so you basically have to call up to reserve seats... But nevertheless, the ambiance there is comfy to boot..=) The food, well...it's good I'll give it a rating of 7 out of 10 from it's appetizer to the dessert..deliziosa! Thanks Liren!

Got my modules already..except that I switched Mol Basis to Infectious Disease..cuz it clashes with Mol Biotec's exam date..Sorry Ren, will be superx10 busy next sem..will see you less and have to pia more..but heh we got 3 mods same leh..duh..! Btw, IHG has begun..KR men basketball won against KE7 for the preliminary yeah..tomorrow they'll play against Eusoff..Jia you my fat captain! I will qi dai the new sem!
